We had a deluge of applications to speak at our 2013 TEDxCentennialParkWomen event to be held in Atlanta in December. The theme this year is "Invented Here." We were looking for inspirational talks about how women are driving progress and crystallizing change locally and around the world. Our social media team outdid themselves on getting the word out and we are very excited about the selection and range of applications we received. Stay tuned. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. One of our most beloved presenters from 2012 was Dr. Bertice Berry, a sociologist, and very funny, award-winning lecturer. Today she is a proud franchisee of TapSnap a digital photobooth (and so much more) that we'll have lots of fun with at our TEDx event.
